In the first episode we saw "What if the Divine descended to Earth not once, but twice—first as the holy child in Bethlehem, fulfilling the prophecy, ‘For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given’ (Isaiah 9:6), and again as the divine infant in Mathura, embodying Krishna’s promise, ‘Whenever righteousness declines, I manifest myself’ (Bhagavad Gita 4:7). This 10-part series is inspired by the immortal Himalayan Master, Mahavatar Babaji, whom this body have encountered four times as in another dimension. For seekers of truth, the call is clear: awaken to the unity of divine incarnations and embark on this sacred journey of revelation." Their Divine Childhood: The Wonder-Working Boys Jesus and Krishna.
"A child who healed the sick, another who moved mountains—what secrets lie within their early miracles?"
Across sacred texts, the childhoods of divine incarnations are illuminated by miraculous deeds, showcasing the boundless power of purity, faith, and divine grace. Two of the most venerated figures—Jesus Christ and Lord Krishna—performed awe-inspiring wonders even in their youth, unveiling deep spiritual truths.
Jesus Christ, as recounted in the Infancy Gospel of Thomas (2nd century CE), healed the sick, fashioned living sparrows from clay, and even raised a playmate from the dead—signifying his divine authority even as a child (Infancy Gospel of Thomas 2:1-5).
Lord Krishna, in the Bhagavata Purana (10th Skandha), lifted the Govardhan Hill with a single finger, subdued demons like Putana, and revealed his cosmic form to his mother, Yashoda—affirming his identity as the Supreme Being (Bhagavata Purana 10.7-10).
These miraculous acts transcend mere legend; they symbolize the unfiltered divinity present in innocence and the transformative power of faith. What deeper wisdom might their childhood miracles hold for seekers today?
"A boy who healed the sick, another who lifted mountains—what do their childhood miracles reveal?"
Throughout sacred scriptures, the childhoods of divine incarnations are marked by extraordinary miracles, demonstrating the power of innocence, faith, and divine love. Two of the most revered figures—Jesus Christ and Lord Krishna—performed astonishing acts even in their youth, revealing profound spiritual truths.
Jesus: The Boy Who Healed and Spoke Wisdom.
Even as a child, Jesus displayed divine wisdom and miraculous power. The Bible tells us:
"And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man." (Luke 2:52)
Though Scripture does not record all His childhood miracles, apocryphal Christian traditions (such as the Infancy Gospel of Thomas) speak of Jesus healing the sick, restoring sight to the blind, and even bringing clay birds to life—all as a boy. These accounts, while not canonical, reflect the early belief in His divine nature from birth.
The lesson to be learned: Jesus’ childhood miracles reveal that divine power is not bound by age. Even in innocence, faith moves mountains (Matthew 17:20).
Prophecy of the Divine Child (Isaiah 9:6)
"For to us, a child is born, to us a son is given And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Significance: Even before His birth, Jesus was foretold as a miraculous child with divine authority.
The Boy Jesus Amazes the Teachers (Luke 2:46-47)
"After three days they found Him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. Everyone who heard Him was amazed at His understanding and His answers."
Lesson: Even as a youth, Jesus embodied divine wisdom.
Childlike Faith in the New Testament (Mark 10:14-15)
"Let the little children come to me for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."
Spiritual Takeaway: Humility and trust are key to divine connection.
Let us look at Krishna: The Divine Child Who Lifted a Mountain.
Krishna’s childhood in Vrindavan is filled with miraculous feats, showing his playful yet supreme divinity. One of his most famous miracles was lifting Govardhan Hill to protect his devotees from Indra’s wrath:
"With one hand, the little Krishna held the massive Govardhan Hill aloft, just as a child holds a mushroom." (Bhagavata Purana 10.11.35)
As a boy, Krishna also slew demons like Putana and Bakasura, danced on the serpent Kaliya, and multiplied himself endlessly in the Rasa Lila. His childhood leelas (divine plays) symbolize God’s protection, joy, and boundless love for devotees.
The Lesson to be learned: Krishna’s miracles teach that divine love is both tender and invincible—even a child God can uphold the universe.
Here is how Krishna Kills the Demoness Putana (Bhagavata Purana 10.6)
The infant Krishna suckles poison from the demoness Putana, killing her while purifying her soul, showing that even evil is redeemed through divine touch.
Here is how Krishna Defeats the Serpent Kaliya (Bhagavata Purana 10.16)
As a young boy, Krishna dances on Kaliya’s hoods, subduing the venomous serpent and purifying the Yamuna River—symbolizing the taming of ego and sin.
Krishna The Butter Thief (Makhan Chor) – (Bhagavata Purana 10.8-9)
Krishna’s playful theft of butter represents God’s boundless love stealing the hearts of devotees. "Stealing my mind, O Krishna, You have stolen everything!" (Bilvamangala Thakur).
Let us heed the Gita’s Call to Surrender Like a Child (Bhagavad Gita 18.66)
"Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions; do not fear."
Lesson to be learned: Like a child trusts a parent, we must trust God completely.
This is The Power of Childlike Faith.
Both Jesus and Krishna show that true spiritual power flows from innocence, love, and unwavering faith.
Jesus said: "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:3)
The Gita says: "To those who are ever devoted to Me, worshipping Me with love, I give the understanding by which they can come to Me." (Bhagavad Gita 10.10)
Let us take Action and embrace the Faith of a Child.
Have you underestimated the power of simplicity and love? Today, let go of doubt and approach God with the trust of a child.
For Christians: "Lord Jesus, give me the faith of a child—pure, trusting, and full of love. Let Your miracles flow through me. Amen."
For Hindus: "O Krishna, playful Lord of Vrindavan, fill my heart with innocent devotion. Let me see Your divine hand in all things. Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya."
